European Recycling Platform (ERP) was founded on December 23rd 2002 as a pan-European Integrated Management System (IMS) for the selective collection and recycling of waste electric and electronic equipment (WEEE) with the objective of ensuring an appropriate environmental management of its waste in benefit of the environment, the citizens, the associated manufacturers of ERP and several other collaborating companies. Through the years, ERP has expanded its activity for the collection of batteries, accumulators and packaging in several countries.
In Spain, ERP was created in 2005 as an IMS for the management of WEEE. Currently, it also operates as an IMS for batteries and accumulators
